Agnes + Cat Botanical Soy Wax Candle – Roses of Sawrey

Think of a rose garden after a quiet spell of rain, petals softened by fresh green stems. This soy wax scented candle brings that gentle English garden mood into a room, with a glass jar that lets the creamy wax and scattered floral colour show through.

Rose garden warmth in the room

The scent is floral first, led by roses rather than heavy perfume.

Fresh greenery keeps the fragrance soft and garden-like, with a clean edge beneath the blooms.

The wood wick adds a small fireside detail, bringing a gentle crackle to the candlelight.

Pink, red and purple floral pieces are visible in the wax, giving the jar a pressed-flower feel.

It suits slow evenings, a bath-side shelf, or a quiet corner where you want scent and candlelight to soften the space.

Soy wax and a wood wick

The candle is made with soy wax and a wood wick, set inside a clear glass jar. The wax has a creamy tone, with botanical colour showing through the sides and near the surface.

Soy wax is a plant-based candle wax with a softer, slower-melting character than many harder waxes. The wood wick gives the flame a different presence from a cotton wick, more tactile and quietly atmospheric.

Glass jar and botanical presentation

The clear jar keeps the focus on the wax itself, so the candle feels decorative before it is even lit. The simple label keeps the presentation clean and understated.

The listed materials include glass, paper, wood and cornstarch, giving the whole piece a soft, natural-looking finish without overcomplicating it.

How to burn it well

Stand the candle on a heat-proof holder or plate before lighting. Trim the wood wick to about 5 mm each time, especially if the flame grows too tall or the wick darkens at the tip.

Let the wax melt evenly across the surface where you can, then allow it to set before lighting again. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from anything flammable.
