Kenko Heated Square Filter Anti-Fog Half Pro Softon Clear - Anti-condensation, for Astrophotography and Starry Sky Photography, Half Soft Effect, USB

Kenko Anti-Fog Square Filter with Heater Maintain optical performance and control condensation. A new option for landscape and astrophotography. Dawn in a valley, or a starry night sky on a humid night. The best photo opportunities are often accompanied by the risk of lens condensation.

The Anti-Fog filter was developed to solve the condensation problem without compromising the optical performance of your valuable lens. Because the filter itself generates heat, it enables uniform and rapid heating to the center of the filter, which was difficult with conventional lens heaters.

[Main Features] A revolutionary condensation prevention method where the filter itself generates heat. A thin film heater coated on the optical glass directly heats the entire surface of the filter. This keeps the temperature of the filter surface, where condensation is most likely to occur, above the ambient temperature, maintaining a clear view.

Three filter effects to enhance your work: A lineup of filter effects essential for astrophotography and nightscape photography, including "Starry Night" to cut light pollution, "Pro Softon Clear" to beautifully diffuse starlight, and "Half Pro Softon Clear" for astrophotography. You can select the optimal image depending on the shooting conditions.

Reliability for long-term continuous shooting: Power is supplied via a highly versatile USB power supply. Because it runs on commercially available mobile batteries, stable shooting is possible even in harsh environments without AC power.

Compatibility with existing systems: Compatible with commercially available 100mm wide square filter holders. You can add condensation prevention functionality to your system.

【A New Concept: Square Filter that Heats the Filter Itself】 The Kenko "Anti-Fog" series of square filters with heaters prevents condensation by heating the filter itself. This filter quickly heats up to the center, making it ideal for astrophotography.

[Filter Effect Specific to Astrophotography] The "Half Pro Softon Clear" has a soft effect on slightly more than half of the filter (approximately 10 cm), blurring bright stars and highlighting constellations. *Pro Softon Clear has a soft effect approximately half that of Pro Softon [A].

[100mm Wide Square Filter] This versatile 100 x 150 mm square filter is recommended for astrophotography and starscape photography. *Compatible with commercially available slide-type filter holders for 100 mm wide, 2 mm thick filters. The Cokin NX can be used with the NX filter frame for 100 x 150 mm filters.

[Powered by a Mobile Battery] It can be powered by a commercially available mobile battery (5V) and a USB cable (Type-A to Type-C). Because it can be powered by a mobile battery, it can be used outdoors and in various other shooting locations. *Mobile battery and USB cable are not included.
