To pull your dog closer, extend your arm forward and press the brake button. As you swing your arm forward, release your finger from the brake button, and when your arm is fully extended, press the handbrake button. Repeat this action until you are within the appropriate distance from your dog. Never grab or squeeze the leash itself, as this may cause injury. To temporarily stop the leash from retracting, press the brake button with your thumb.
