It is absorbed immediately by the body and requires no additional processing to be assimilated into blood and cells. When the body consumes other forms of Vitamin B9, such as folate, it must convert the folate into 5-MTHF, the form required by blood and cells. Daily Dose: Contains 1mg of L-active folate and 500mcg of methyl B12, making it suitable for a standard daily dose. The dropper allows for easy dosage control, with each drop containing 500 mcg of L-active folic acid. This product contains 1,000 mcg of the essential cofactor methylcobalamin B12 (methyl form). Methylcobalamin (B12) and methyl folic acid (B9) are interdependent. Both play important roles in the body's methylation pathways. The combination of these two methylated nutrients is particularly important for individuals with the MTHFR gene variant. Adequate vitamin B12 levels are also crucial for the breakdown of homocysteine. Methyl folic acid cannot complete this process if there is insufficient methylcobalamin B12.
