As times change, so do lifestyles, and people are beginning to forget that Japanese umbrellas are a daily item. Even as times change, artisans make Japanese umbrellas using traditional methods with great care. This makes us think about the spirit of "treating things with care." The smell of oil when you open the umbrella, the sound of rain hitting it, and the texture of the washi paper all give you a sense of sophistication. We hope you will try out a genuine Japanese umbrella made by a craftsman. Please get your hands on this exquisite umbrella that lets you feel the skilled craftsmanship of the Japanese umbrella craftsman. A bangasa is a practical umbrella made of thick bamboo ribs covered in Japanese paper and coated with oil. Bangasa umbrellas are used as rental umbrellas in high-end inns and as an accompaniment to Japanese clothing. Compared to the Janome umbrella, it has thicker bones, is heavier, and gives off a stronger, more solid impression, and is therefore mainly popular among men. The washi paper is vinyl coated and the surface is oiled. Oil-resistant and vinyl-coated for strong water repellency. In addition, the exterior is coated to give it a texture similar to that of habutae, a typical example of high-quality Japanese umbrellas. The color is plain green, which is commonly used for umbrellas. To ensure that these umbrellas can be used practically, we have carefully selected umbrellas with sturdy center pole (the pole at the handle), ribs and small ribs, and with well-tensioned oil paper. The handle is made of bamboo. Please feel free to use this service when you go out in Japanese clothing.
