[Amazon.co.jp Exclusive] Kenko Mist Filter Black Mist No.05 N 67mm - Soft Diffusion Effect - Softens Light for a Movie Scene-like Look - Wide-Angle Le

Product Introduction

Like a scene from a movie. The Kenko Black Mist No. 1/No. 05 soft filters, which create a cinematic atmosphere, have been renewed with a water- and oil-repellent coating and a slimmer frame design, while maintaining their filter effect. Convenience has been further improved.

The "Black Mist" is a soft filter that sandwiches extremely fine black diffusing material between optical glass. It reduces the contrast between highlights and shadows, resulting in a soft depiction and a unique light diffusion effect.

The "Black Mist No. 05" filter has approximately half the softening effect of "No. 1". It is more versatile than No. 1, allowing you to create a "movie scene" effect in many scenes.

The "Black Mist No. 05 N" features a new slimmer frame design that is less prone to vignetting with wide-angle lenses, and a water- and oil-repellent coating on the filter surface to repel water and dirt, improving convenience during use.

【Effects of the Black Mist Series】 ■ Creates a cinematic night scene with a unique light diffusion.

"Black Mist" creates a cinematic atmosphere, especially in night photography, by blurring light sources with its unique light diffusion effect. It's effective for light sources such as streetlights, car headlights, illuminations, and indoor lighting.

■ Enhances the dramatic effect of backlighting.

In backlit photography, it softens the contrast between highlights and shadows, creating a more dramatic effect of dazzling light. It can impressively capture low-angle sunlight in the morning and evening, light streaming into rooms, dappled sunlight, and light reflected on water or glass.

■ Smoothes skin.

In portrait photography, it reduces overall contrast, giving skin a smooth, veiled appearance.

【Usage Notes】 *The strength of the effect varies depending on the lens's focal length. Generally, the effect is stronger at telephoto ends and weaker at wide-angle ends.

*The effect may vary depending on the type of light source and other shooting conditions. The exposure multiplier is 1/3 of a stop, but depending on the actual shooting conditions, it may not affect the exposure.
